Dua Lipa made a dazzling appearance at the “Barbie” premiere in Los Angeles, leaving everyone in awe. The 27-year-old singer captivated onlookers as she stepped onto the pink carpet on July 9, donning a mesmerizing see-through silver gown layered over a white undergarment.
Completing her enchanting ensemble were silver, pointed heels and elegantly flowing waves with a center part. Dua Lipa opted for simplicity when it came to accessories, adorning herself with a short, sparkling necklace and hoop earrings.
While she deviated from the traditional pink attire, Dua Lipa still channeled the essence of Barbie with her stunning outfit. Notably, she paid a subtle tribute to the iconic doll’s signature color by showcasing a bubblegum-hued manicure.
In the upcoming Greta Gerwig film, Dua Lipa will portray the role of Mermaid Barbie and also contributes a song, titled “Dance the Night,” to the “Barbie” soundtrack.
Excited to share her premiere look, Dua Lipa posted a photo on Instagram, receiving overwhelming praise from fans in the comments section, with words like “gorgeous,” “stunning,” and “so perfect.”
The “Barbie” premiere saw other stars embracing their own unique styles, mostly steering clear of pink. Margot Robbie, who portrays Barbie in the upcoming film, opted for a black dress with a flared tulle silhouette, paying homage to one of the iconic looks of the legendary Mattel doll from 1961.
Ryan Gosling, on the other hand, playfully embraced his inner Ken, donning a blush-colored suit paired with a pastel-pink shirt. He added a pendant in the shape of the letter ‘E,’ featuring the swirly pink-and-white script of the Barbie logo, as a sweet tribute to his long-time partner, Eva Mendes, as revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Gosling also mentioned that his daughters, 8-year-old Esmeralda and 7-year-old Amada, were instrumental in helping him prepare for the role of Ken.
With its star-studded cast, “Barbie” is set to hit theaters on July 21, and fans can’t wait to see the beloved doll come to life on the big screen.
