Anthropic Releases Claude 2, It’s Second-Generation AI Chatbot
Anthropic, the AI startup co-founded by ex-OpenAI execs, today announced the release of a new text-generating AI model, Claude 2.
Claude 2 is a significant improvement over its predecessor, Claude 1.3. It was trained on more recent data, including a mix of websites, licensed data sets from third parties, and voluntarily-supplied user data from early 2023. This likely contributed to the improvements in Claude 2’s ability to generate more informative and coherent text.
In addition, Claude 2 can now generate code. This is a significant new capability that could be used for various purposes, such as automating tasks, creating new applications, and developing AI models.
Claude 2 is still under development, but several businesses and organizations have already used it. For example, the company behind the popular coding platform Codecademy is using Claude 2 to generate interactive coding exercises.
