AC Milan is reportedly making progress in pursuing a new striker, with the Serie A champions targeting a player from the Premier League.
The Rossoneri have been linked with a number of strikers in recent weeks, including Jonathan David of Lille, Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Everton. However, it is now believed that they are focusing on a player from the English top flight.
According to reports in Italy, Milan has contacted the representatives of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah. The 22-year-old is out of contract at the season’s end and has yet to agree on a new deal with the Gunners.
Nketiah is a versatile forward who can play as a center-forward or on the wing. He has scored ten goals in 27 appearances for Arsenal this season and is seen as a good fit for Milan’s style of play.
The Rossoneri are also interested in signing Tammy Abraham from Roma. However, Abraham is reportedly keen to stay in the Premier League, and Arsenal and Newcastle United are also courting him.
Whether Milan can sign Nketiah or Abraham this summer is still being determined. However, the club is making progress in their search for a new striker, and they will be hoping to add a top-class goalscorer to their squad before the start of the new season.
